Green Connect is an 11-acre urban permaculture farm in Warrawong, in the Illawarra south of Wollongong, run as an independent not-for-profit. It grows fruit, vegetables, eggs, honey and free-range meat using permaculture and organic principles, distributing tens of thousands of kilograms of 'fair food' each year.
The farm sells through weekly or fortnightly fair-food vegetable box subscriptions, available for pickup or home delivery, and runs farm visits, school and family education, Farm Kindy and holiday programs. Its mission pairs sustainable food with employment for young people and refugees and large-scale waste diversion from landfill.
