About
Eden Valley Biodynamic Farm sits near Dumbleyung in Western Australia's Wheatbelt, roughly 300km south-east of Perth. It is a family farm run by the Lloyd family across four and five generations, and has been certified Demeter biodynamic since 1988. The farm works around 6,000 acres, growing heirloom crops of wheat, barley, rye and oats and milling its own flour on-farm.
Everything is grown and processed without artificial or synthetic chemicals, fertilisers or genetically engineered organisms, using biodynamic methods that focus on building soil life. Alongside the grain, the Lloyds run Merino sheep, and the bran and feed grains from the flourmill are turned into pelletised stockfeed for poultry, sheep and cattle. The farm is best known for its biodynamic flour range rather than a retail meat counter.
