Dandaragan Organic Beef is a family-run certified-organic cattle farm at Dandaragan, around 200 kilometres north of Perth. The Cook family has farmed the property, called Noondel, for more than 100 years, and converted to organic production in 2000. It is one of Western Australia's best-known producers of grass-fed and grass-finished organic beef and lamb.
The cattle, around 2000 head, are run in large herds and moved onto fresh pasture and water every few days, grazing perennial pastures with access to mineral supplements and no hormones, antibiotics, pesticides or artificial fertilisers. The beef and lamb are sold through stockist butchers, health food stores, restaurants and cafés, and direct via the farm's online shop.
