Bamboo Park is a farm shop, bamboo plantation and tropical nursery at Valdora on the Sunshine Coast, about ten minutes from Coolum Beach and Yandina. Run since 2020 by Edward Wright and Julia Aragon, it is a sixth-generation, 100% Australian-owned family farm producing pasture-raised eggs and pork, plus rare Lotus honey, all grown on the one property near the beach using organic, biodynamic and natural methods.
The free-range hens have plenty of sunlight, fresh air and natural food like bugs and grass, and the farm shop is open year-round. From April to October you can follow farm trails to see the hens, peacocks and piglets in their paddocks, and families and dogs are welcome. As well as eggs, pork and honey, the shop sells bamboo, native fruit trees, palms and soils. The directory also lists duck against this farm, so it is worth asking what is available when you visit.
