Alphington Farmers Market is a community farmers market run by Melbourne Farmers Markets at the Melbourne Innovation Centre on Wingrove Street, Alphington, in Melbourne's inner north-east. It's held every Sunday from 9am to 1pm on the grounds of the organisation's community food hub, a former council site turned over to local growers and producers.
Stalls bring fresh fruit and vegetables, free-range eggs and meats, olives and oil, honey, nuts and grains, dairy and cheese, breads and pastries, plus coffee and fresh juices. It's run as a not-for-profit social enterprise, is proudly plastic-bag-free with a wash-up station to cut single-use waste, and entry is by a voluntary $2 donation.
